Currency Holidays

Golden Week starts on 1 October, and Chinese banks don't reopen until the 8th. If you pay suppliers in China, that's a full week where CNY payments simply don't move. Anything that needs to arrive before the holiday should go out in the last few days of September. Anything sent during the week won't be processed until the 8th at the earliest.

The date that tends to catch people out is Monday 12 October. US banks close for Columbus Day, so USD payments due that day slip to the 13th. Canada and Japan are closed too.

The full calendar is below. Worth forwarding to whoever handles payments in your team.
